The purpose of this post is to walk through the different versions of the Crazy Ivan
chassis; The Original, Competition (Comp), and the Takedown.

The Original Chassis

This chassis is a two-part Aluminum system designed for the Ruger 10/22 without an
integrated rail. The chassis is an adjustable stock replacement system. Take your
factory 10/22 out of the stock and you will affix the “upper” with 4 provided fasteners to
the top of your receiver. This Upper is a patented design to allow any AR style free float
handguard to be installed. The “Lower” is secured with a provided fastener that
replaces the original takedown fastener. The lower enables the use of AR15 style grips
without a beaver tail and accepts an AR buffertube to enable the use of any AR
Buttstock. The chassis upper and lower weighs in at 13.39oz.

We do offer the Original Chassis Complete kit which includes a 12” aluminum AR
handguard, standard AR 25 degree grip, buffer tube and AR buttstock. If you have a
10/22 and want to get rid of your stock and make it look and feel like and AR15, this is
the solution for you. Or, you can buy individual pieces for your build.

The primary use of this chassis is very versatile from building a precision setup
to speed shooting.

The Competition (Comp) Chassis

This chassis is a one-piece Aluminum system designed to fit most 10/22s and 10/22
clones without a fixed rear tang. We have tested the chassis to work with Ruger,
Volquartsen, Tactical Solutions, Magnum Research, and many other popular receivers.
The “Lower” is secured with a provided fastener that replaces the original takedown
fastener. The lower enables the use of AR15 style grips without a beaver tail and
accepts an AR buffer tube to enable the use of any AR Buttstock. If you are looking for
the lightest option, you can purchase our tube foam to place over the top of a .920” OD
barrel for hand placement.

Optionally, you can purchase a MLOK rail which comes in two lengths to put your
favorite accessory; hand stop or finger stop for repeatable hand placement. These are
lightweight and miminalist. This chassis can also purchase a Crazy Ivan Handguard
adapter that will allow you to put on either our 7” or 10” handguard. The Crazy Ivan
Handguard is equipped with 3 sides of MLOK attachment slots. The Chassis lower
weighs in at 8.1oz.

We offer the chassis by itself, a Competitor Bundle with everything you need to, and a
Pro Bundle with all the options the pros use.

The primary use for this chassis is for speed shooting and can be used for
general plinking.

The Takedown Chassis

This chassis is a one-piece Aluminum system designed to fit the 10/22 Takedown
models. We have tested the chassis to work with other manufactures that have mimic’d
the Ruger design. The “Lower” is secured with a provided fastener that replaces the
original takedown fastener. The lower enables the use of AR15 style grips without a
beaver tail and accepts an AR buffer tube to enable the use of any AR Buttstock.

A popular option is our Takedown Complete kit which comes with 10” aluminum Crazy
Ivan handguard, standard AR 25 degree grip, buffer tube and AR buttstock. If you have
a 10/22 Takedown and want to get rid of your stock and make it look and feel like and
AR15, this is the solution for you. Or, you can buy individual pieces for your build. The
Crazy Ivan Handguard is equipped with 3 sides of MLOK attachment slots.

The chassis itself weighs 8.3oz, the LITE version is 7.9oz.

The primary use for this chassis is for backpacking, general plinking, small game
hunting.
